The Neosho United Methodist Church sent 15 people to Vieques September 22-29. Besides the Neosho members, the group included members of Ashland Methodist Church in St. Joseph, as well as Cross Church of Neosho. Our projects consisted of:
- Building 50 ft-long concrete forms for the Vieques Methodist Church to support a new roof
- Removing tile and debris and resealing a resident roof, scraping plaster and treating rebar inside home, and repainting bedrooms and porch
- Trimming windows, painting and repairs to a resident home
- Installing a new 1,200 square-foot metal roof and cleaning a second story floor which had been exposed for a year
- Making home visits and assisting in a health clinic run by a medical team from New York
